Sign up link for August Masses at St. Ann

As our attendance numbers are increasing, especially on Sunday, it is more important to sign up online ahead of time. Please use the link below to sign up to attend Mass at St. Ann for the month of August. Please be sure to check the date of the Mass you are signing up for so you sign up for the one you want to attend! We also ask that you sign up at least an hour before the Mass. Thank you!

This link is also available on the home page of the parish website!

We require that everyone – including children over 2 – wear a mask during Mass, and maintain social distancing. (One household per pew!) We ask that parishioners enter by the front doors only so that staff can keep an accurate count. Hand sanitizer is also provided by each door. If you need assistance signing up, please call the parish office (535-3031) or email Thank you!

Readers Needed for Mass in August

We are in need of readers for both the Saturday & Sunday Masses. We only need one reader per Mass to do 1st and 2nd readings, the responsorial psalm in between (if musicians are not available) and the prayers of the faithful (found in the red missal book) following the homily. Please use the link below to sign up if you will be attending Mass and are willing to be the reader. Call or email the parish office if you need assistance. Thank you!

Prayer Service on Zoom – Sunday at 11:00 AM

We will continue to offer the Prayer service on Zoom for those members of our community who are unable to attend Mass, so that we can continue to gather together in prayer. Through the Summer months, we are using a new format – Lectio Divina – for our prayer service, which allows for meditation, listening and sharing. The link is emailed out through the parish email list on Saturday. All are welcome – please join us!

Franciscan Corner

This week we celebrate the feast of St Clare of Assisi. Clare was 12 years younger than Francis and was known for her generosity to the poor. Like Francis, she left all behind and committed herself to the poor and a simple lifestyle of enclosure. Clare started the Poor Clares and wrote the Rule for her Order, unheard of in those days! Together Francis and Clare had a common vision: identification with the poor, care for creation as a sacred trust, embrace of each person in relationship as sister and brother. You are all aware that in Spokane we have a Poor Clare Monastery on Hawthorne. The Clares came to Spokane in 1914 and have blessed Spokane ever since. Let us pray in thanksgiving for their presence among us!

(Thank you to Sr. Joanne for sharing these Franciscan reflections with us.)
